Shahid Kapoor is essaying the role of 'Arjun Reddy' in 'Kabir Singh', the Hindi version of the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer. And the Bollywood hero says that Deverakonda will be the original, always.

"Was so inspiring to see what you did with this character brother. You will always be the original. Much love," Shahid said to the 'Taxiwala' hero. "Big brother, much love and respect back. You and Sandeep will do magic. I excitedly await to see you as Kabir!" the Telugu actor told his Hindi counterpart, showing that he is a sport.

Kiara Advani steps into Shalini Pandey's shoes in the remake. The film will hit the screens on June 21 next year. If it becomes a hit in Hindi, too, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga can be proud of becoming one of the few south Indian directors to have scored successes in two languages with two debuts.
