“I have never believed in the phrase Out of sight out of mind,” says actor Manoj Bajpai. “If my graph hasn’t gone up it hasn’t come down either,” he adds. The star of ‘Satya’, Bajpai has been the mainstay of such films as ‘Road’, ‘Kaun’, ‘Pinjar’, ‘Aks’, and ‘Shool’. But he has been missing from the action for some time now. A failed stint with television gaming show and a commercial for a gutka company is all that one knows of him lately.

The actor admits that the media is the be all and end all when it comes to entertainment and he claims that he has always liked media. “I can never see myself hogging newsprint. I don’t want to be seen as a hyped actor.

I would be pleased if someone calls me a good actor,” he says. The National Award winner was last seen in nondescript roles in ‘Fareb’ and ‘Bewafa’. So, what do we see him in next? ‘Return to Rajapur’, ‘1971’, ‘90 Minutes’, ‘Dus Kahaniyaan’ and ‘The Whisperers’.
