Aseem Merchant, who was appreciated for his performance in 'The Train', and has bagged the role of a protagonist against Salman Khan in the Pokiri remake 'Wanted Dead or Alive' produced by Boney Kapoor, is on a roll. This is besides being signed for Uru Patel's HANUMAN with Keanu Reeves and ASHIMA, based on an award winning Bengali novel.

Aseem Merchant has also turned producer with his first production "200 Dollars". He will be playing a complex role of a terrorist.

When asked about the role, Aseem informs "While I was shooting for 'Bullet' in Bulgaria for 6 months, I met few real life gangsters and their leaders. I observed them very closely on how they execute their plans when they are asked to do it by their leader."

Aseem has portrayed negative character onscreen but he has never played character of a terrorist.

Adds Aseem, "It's a big challenge. After the shoot of 'Bullet' and having seen them so closely, it would all help me to play the character. It's an edge of the seat thriller."

'200 Dollars' will be Aseem's first home production and he seems happy that his dream of being a producer coming true.

Nonetheless Aseem also seems quite pleased with the way his career is shaping up, with him getting to experiment with different kind of roles.
