'Happy days' in Bollywood
IndiaGlitz [Thursday, October 23, 2008]

'Happy Days' has turned to be the most favorite flick of auteurs in India. The film originally churned out in Telugu was a blockbuster at box-office. Featuring Varun Sandesh, Tamanna, Nikhil, Rahul, Vamsi Krishna, Sonia, Priyanka and Gayathri Rao in lead roles, the film centered on chest-filled delightedness of college days. Sooner Prakash Raj of Duet Movies readied with its remake in Tamil titled 'Inidhu Inidhu'.

Well, Shekhar Kammula wielding megaphone for the original version gears up with its remake in Hindi. With Shekar Kapoor producing the film, pursuit on newcomers for list of star-casts is on. Cameraman Vijay C Kumar & Editor Marthand K Venkatesh who earlier worked for the Telugu version, are once again joining the crew for this Hindi version also.

Fine! Remakes from Telugu-Tamil-Hindi have turned to be clichéd now… Telugu 'Pokkiri' was remade in Tamil with same title and shooting is soon on the heels of completion for Hindi version with Salman Khan in lead. Witnessing grand success in Tollywood, Bommarillu was remade as 'Santhosh Subramaniam' in Tamil and now Anees Bazmee treads remaking the film in Hindi titled 'It's my Life' starring Harman Baweja and Geneli D'Souza.
