While our B-town Perfectionist Aamir Khan is known to be a marketing genius, his wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao is turned out to be equally more intelligent in matters of promoting her venture.
As said earlier, Kiran recently launched her banner and she would be presenting her first film 'Ship of Theseus', releasing on July 19.
The 'Lagaan' and 'Dhobi Ghat' famed director-producer reported to have come up with a unique strategy to promote her debut production. According to our sources, Kiran apparently feels that digital medium holds the key to the future and is the right way to go forward.
It is said that, in one of the marketing brain storming sessions she came up with an alternate solution - she will put all her promos even paid promotions on internet.
She would put all her monies on promotions on internet versus on television. Interestingly this would be first time that a film would so.
Kiran strongly feels that one doesn't have to be on television to capture attention of intelligent audience. Besides, she just doesn't feel the need to be on television. In fact she would be spending same amount on internet versus televisions.
Definitely, this would be a clutter breaking idea.
