Since the film was released on March 30 in the US, the NRI cinegoers have warmed up to Janardhana Maharshi's Devasthanam. This offbeat film, in which the scenes are set in the backdrop of many architecturally-rich and spiritually significant temples, stars K Vishwanath and SP Balasubramaniam in the lead. Amala's role too is pivotal to the film.
The producers are planning to release the film in AP, on April 13. SPB has said that he has been eagerly waiting for the film's release. "I am confident that the film will be lapped by the audience here, just as it has been liked by the NRIs."
The director comes with the experience of having written for about 90 films. "Devasthanam is a dream come true for me. I am glad and thankful for the two great men for their performances. Veenapani garu has given soulful music. Cameraman Suresh V Kumar has done his best to make the film a visual treat", Maharshi said.
