A familiar journey

Thaman composes the music for all the numbers but one, which is done by Achu Rajamani.  Srikrishna, Aditya Iyengar, Raghuram, Dhanunjay, Sony, Mohana Bhogaraju, Sahiti Chaganti, Saketh Komanduri, Roshini and Achu sing the songs.

Aachari America Yatra

Singers: Srikrishna, Aditya Iyengar, Raghuram, Dhanunjay, Sony
Lyrics: Bhaskara Bhatla

Bhaskara Bhatla's lyrics embed not-so-unconventional thoughts.  Even phrases like 'Shuttle adestunde Shani graham pane lenattu' is an old idea expressed in a new language.  Rhyming words like 'Chillu' and 'Thrillu', 'Nillu' and 'Vallu' are interesting.  Thaman has quite a few good musical ideas to infuse the song with.  Crooned by Srikrishna, Aditya Iyengar, Raghuram, Dhanunjay and Sony, the number qualifies to be a good comedy number.

Swamy Raa Raa

Singers: Srikrishna, Dhanunjay, Mohana Bhogaraju, Sahiti Chaganti
Lyrics: Bhaskara Bhatla

The song has three flavours that can be distinctly recognized: Classical tune, folk scent, and item number-type music at places.  Between them, Mohana and Sahiti on the one hand, and Srikrishna and Dhanunjay, on the other hand, salvage the number with their vocals.  The influences on the music are vivid.  Bhaskara Bhatla passes muster with his relatable and fairly creative lyrics.

Cheliya

Singer: Achu Rajamani
Lyrics: Ramajogayya Sastry

The song has music by Achu Rajamani, who also doubles up as its singer.  The music has a scent of a semi-pathos number.  AR Rahman can be seen somewhere.  Ramajogayya Sastry's lyrics are top-notch.  The sky as a witness and such ideas are embedded in line after line.

Renuka

Singers: Saketh Komanduri, Roshini
Lyrics: Thaidala Bapu

Thaidala Bapu pens the song stuffing it with stock ideas.  For one, the man promises her to buy her accessories.  For another, references to fairs and festivals abound.  The lyrics smell of been-there-done-that ideas.  Saketh Komanduri's voice is apt for the folkish number, so also Roshini's.  Thaman should have gone in for a faster-paced song to make it electrifying.

Verdict:

As far as the music is concerned, the album is littered with largely mediocre, if inspired, numbers.  Good lyrics and vocals deserve due credit.
