The fate of Akhil has shattered all the dreams of Akhil Akkineni. The actor has faced the flak from critics and the paying public for choosing an outlandish story-line coupled with uninteresting narration. Sensing the adverse reactions, none of the top directors were coming forward to direct Akhil anytime soon, says the buzz.

Though, Nagarjuna is making attempts to rope in Trivikram Srinivas for Akhil's second movie, it is being said that the director is in no mood to work with the Akkineni scion owing to his other commitments. The result of Bruce Lee also made Srinu Vaitla out of contention. Hence, Nagarjuna is planning to approach Puri Jagannadh with the proposal of directing his younger son.

However, the father-son are not in a rush and are waiting for the result of Loafer, the next release of Puri Jagan. If this Varun Tej starrer scores well at the box office, then the line is cleared for Akhil. Hope things won't go in vain for the lanky lad, again!
