Songs that tell stories

Mickey J Meyer's albums have always inspired good amount of interest.  He has carved a niche for himself with his flair for melodious and classy music.

Chandamama Kathalu lives up to the image he has set for himself.

With its set of good lyrics and choice of entertaining vocals, the album is good enough.

Chandamama Kathalu

Artist: Kalyani

The soothing melody sees Mickey J Meyer do a rip off from his own repertoire of songs.  The number, it appears, is a theme song that could be played more than once as the story progresses.  Kalyani's voice perks up the song's appeal.  The lyrics are laced with meaning, conveying the mindset of the characters philosophically.

Devuda

Artist: Anil

The irreverent number is more television-esque rather than cinematic.  Mickey J Meyer has tried to do something different for himself, but it is not different in itself.  It looks like a parodied devotional song and the lyrics are somewhat crude and unimaginative.  Nothing home to write about Anil's vocals.

Ee Kadha

Artists: Sanam Puri, Shweta Pandit

'Ee Kadha' is surely the album's raison d' etre.  With a melancholy touch, it has everything from an intense feel, good vocals and a strong musical flavour.  Sanam Puri, with his nifty rendition, involves us into the song.  Shwetha Pandit proves to be a good choice.  The lyrics are meaningful and are the album's best.  Meyer delivers a thumbs-up output, overall.

Payaname

Artist: Vijay Prakash

Although 'Payaname' is sure to induce a sense of deja vu, one can overlook the 'rip off' flavour for the overall good impression it manages to give.  Vijay Prakash proves an apt choice.  His rendition is the song's strongest feature.  The lyrics are, again, worth taking note of.
