Pakistan`s most controversial trials leading upto the 2007 assasination of Benazir Bhutto has taken a new twist with former dictator Pervez Musharraf being declared as a fugitive and all of his properties in Pakistan were ordered to be confisicated.

The drama took a new turn after Musharraf failed to appear in court for more than 10 years for the assassination case. Musharraf, who is accused of conspiring to murder the former prime minister, has been in self-imposed exile in Dubai since 2016. Musharraf, however has denied these allegations even as he continues to give interviews to various world channels. Bhutto was the first woman to be democratically elected by the people to lead Pakistan.
