Publicity in any way it comes is welcome for political parties and their favorite one is lodging complaints or filing cases against Kollywood celebrities. Only a few weeks back it was Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan against whom the Hindu Makkal Katchi filed a case that he disrespected the Mahabharatha in a televised interview.

Hindu Makkal Munani has lodged a complaint against Ilayathalpathy Vijay with the Chennai City Police Commissioner that he had hurt Hindu sentiments. The ridiculous claim is that one of Vijay`s fans had drawn a portrait of his idol in which he is holding a Thirusulam while wearing shoes. The drawing has become a rage on the internet and hence the complaint.
