Meghana Lokesh, who will be seen in 'Idhi Maa Prema Katha', in this interview talks about the film, her tryst with the small and silver screens so far, her favourite actors, and more.

Tell us about how this film came to you.

I was doing the TV serial Sashirekha Parinayam before this movie. I was convinced by director Karthik garu to do this love story. Basically, I like thrillers and action films. I am these days doing the serial Kalyana Vaibhogam on TV. Thanks to the cooperation extended by my producers, I could complete the schedules of 'Idhi Maa Prema Katha'.

How has the product turned out to be?

The film has come out really well. I am surprised that the film has come out really well despite being made on such a small budget.

We are seeing quite many rom-coms these days. How is your film different from others? What is the film about?

The film delves into such questions as what is the right age to fall in love, why do some couples break-up, why is it that men and women see a problem differently, etc. The film then suggests that there might be no problem at all if both the girl and the boy think alike.

What is your role in the movie?

I am playing a girl named Sandhya. Thulasi garu and Vizag Prasad garu are playing my parents.

How did your interest in acting take birth?

I am a Kannada girl. I have learnt the language after settling down here. I was a theatre artist for about 7-8 years. By the time I completed my degree, I gave as many as 275 stage shows.

I like Nagarjuna garu and Soundarya garu a lot. I had never wanted to become an actress. However, opportunities came searching for me.

I am enjoying doing both TV and cinema. Offers came to me from Sandalwood as well. But I couldn't do Kannada due to dates problems.
