An eclectic album!

The album of 'Master', composed by Anirudh Ravichander, is more than 25 minutes long. That way, it is one of the more prolific albums in recent times. Here is our review of the eclectic and electrifying album.

Master Coming

Singer: Gaana Balachandar

Lyricist: Sri Sai Kiran

The song has been made as an energetic hero-elevation number. The mood is jubilant and the beats lend themselves to Kollywood-esque dance moves. 'Master Coming' has you in a jamboree mode, complete with the percussion.

Andham Vadi Choopera

Singer: Inno Genga

Lyricist: Krishna Kanth

Krishna Kanth's romantic lines are enlivened by Inno Genga's soothing voice. The writing is elegant. The acoustic and electric guitars that give a lively rhythm to the track need a special mention.

Chitti Story

Singers: Anirudh Ravichander, Sam Vishal

Lyricist: Anantha Sriram

The Tamil original, 'Kutti Story', has been a humongous hit. The Telugu version is impressive, too. A song that’s sure to be in the ‘motivation playlist’ of every student out there, this one has Anantha Sriram borrowing from the clever wordplay heard in the original. The rendition is layered with motivational truths.

Quit Chyyara

Singer: Yashwanth Nag

Lyricist: Krishna Kanth

The song is all about quitting the bad things in your life (like alcohol). Krishna Kanth's lyrics draw upon the theme of the Tamil original, with phrases like 'kick ekkithe' sounding just right. If the Tamil original was sung by Anirudh, the Telugu version has vocals by Yashwanth Nag. The lines balance the soothing, progressive layer build-up of the track. The treatment is jazzy here and there. It decorates some open ends of the track fittingly.

Beat of Master

The composer has rendered a percussion-soaked score that is sure to evoke much impact on the big screen. It will be interesting to see how the song has been used in the background to elevate what is visible in the foreground. The rise in the pace stabilizes to finish at the very end in an abrupt, sudden and intriguing way.

Singer: Saketh Komanduri

Lyricist: Krishna Kanth

Saketh Komanduri’s rendition for this track grows on your ears slowly but surely. Krishna Kanth’s lyrics are a celebration of the aggressive but purposive hero that fans love. It would be interesting to experience the song with visuals of the film.

Letha Letha Gundelu

Singer: Mayukh

Lyricist: Krishna Kanth

The song has a tender quality about it. The poignant lyrics as well as Anirudh’s equally melancholic composition give us a reason to listen to it with rapt attention.

Master Raid

Singer: Rap by Arivu

Lyricist: Sri Sai Kiran, Mali

The rap kind of song is particularly peppy and massy at once. Arivu is unstoppable, filling up his rap with some high-quality verve. This track, with the music, the lines and Arivu’s rendition would be something the Rap God would be proud of!

A versatile album that has got story-driven as well as generic massy songs that appeal to Vijay's image, this one is one of the best from Anirudh.
