She has literally come a long way since her ‘I Love You, Rasna’ days.

Ankitha Jhaveri is now a hot pin-up girl in Telugu filmdom.

In the last year or so, the curvaceous young actress has had a couple of good roles and is now on the way to become a top-notch star. She sees nothing amiss in North Indian belles calling shots here in Tollywood. "People here are so nice. They are not paranoid or xenophobic about outsiders coming here and making a mark."

This is contrast to the parochial attitude of some other filmdoms, most notably Kannada.

Ankitha also does not feel that North Indian actress, backed by their aggressive approach, have riding roughshod over their Telugu counterparts. "Acting has nothing to do with regions. It is a universal language of emoting that cuts across barriers of culture, caste and color," she recently said.

Right attitude. Right words.

Is anyone in Kannada filmdom listening?
