Recently during a Jana Sena meet, a supporter stood up and told Pawan Kalyan that there is a leader in Anantapur who is rash with his fans and breaks their mobiles when they seek selfies. Obviously, he was indirectly referring to Nandamuri Balakrishna, who famously slaps his fans on occasions. The supporter then asked Power Star if he can teach patience to people in Rayalaseema.

At this, Pawan said, "Patience and endurance are in the heart of the people. Who am I to teach you patience? It's the system and the leaders who need patience, not the public. People often mob me and crush me because of their love. They break my body parts Recently, a guy form Chittoor recently held me very tightly. Am I a superman or Kodi Rammurthy (body builder)? I don't weigh much, I hardly weigh 70kg. So, it hurts when a crowd hugs me tightly. But I take it in my stride because they are doing it out of love."

Without taking Balakrishna's name, Pawan said, "It's wrong to beat up those who come to you out of love. How can you bash up the one who addresses you as 'anna'? That's not my culture, my character."
