Prasthanam is a good album to watch out for.  A Deva Katta film, the songs have a meaning to them.  All of them may not be up to the mark, but there is some pep to the songs.  Devoid of vulgarity, the album, released fittingly by Lok Satta's JP, is to be listened for at least three very nice ones.  Mahesh Shankar's music is okay.

Payanam    Listen here

Deva Katta's lyrics sound like Seetharama Sastry's here.  The song tells you that life on earth is better than the heavens and prasthanam is better than the destination (an old adage); more, if you see the revolt in you, you will rest in peace.  Crooned by VV Prasanna, the music is simply the best.

Bedaro   Listen here

Bro (bedaro).. is about the protagonist's tale of love and marriage.  Of how he fell for a damsel, married her and then got the lesson of his life.  Written with a comic touch by Chaitanya Prasad, the song is sung by Deepu.  An okay one.

Evado Vadu   Listen here

The song is an average number in terms of musical quality, but a good rendition at that.  Though you would have desired for more powerful lyrics from the lyricist of Payanama, you would reconcile to the averageness of it all.  The singer is Narayana.

Murali Lola   Listen here

Vanamali's lyrics tell the heroism of Kirshna, of course, but it is also about the mythological rakshasa called Narakasura. The victory of good over evil gets the better of the lyrical theme.  Sounding like a number involving members of a family, it is different in that it's not a festive song involving the village members.  Kalyani and Saindhavi are the main singers.  Rahul Nambiar and Sriram are the other singers.

Naayudochadoe   Listen here

Though lyrics symbolise mass worshipping of a hero, the instruments used are fashionable.  If lyrics are by Vanamali, the song is rendered by VV Prasanna.

Innalluga   Listen here

A very mediocre romantic song, the song is rendered by Sahithi and Mahesh well.  The music is not catchy and is probably the poor one in quality.  Again written by Vanamali.

Nee Rendallo   Listen here

A very good duet, the song has got both worthy musical proposition and lyrical variety.  This one would be among the top two in the album.  Written by Vanamali, it is rendered to incredible keenness by Karthik and Sowmya.
