The smoldering vampire that stole our hearts and vanished at the light of speed, Edward Cullen fit the one and only Robert Pattinson so well that to this day, some people make conspiracy theories about him being an actual vampire.(Dude knows how to act). Let`s keep that thought on hold while we hear some juicy deets from Robert Pattinson himself about his persuasion into the role of Edward Cullen and how he got almost fired.

“I was very serious. I thought at the time – I was 21 – if you were going into a relationship with someone, the way to make it really intense was if you could barely talk to each other, you could barely touch each other, incredibly serious all the time” he remembered at the Sirius XM Radio Show of Howard Stern.

“Everyone was like, No, it should be happy and having fun! That`s what people want! Now the whole series is known as a brooding thing,” he added.

“I remember the producers giving me a copy of the book, and every single instance where my character smiled, they`d highlighted. I got a different color highlighter and highlighted all the times he frowned.” He says while laughing.

“I came back after lunch and I was like Hi! Look at me, I wanna keep my job!`” he joked. “I was probably going a little too miserable, so some kind of compromise was alright.” He concludes the story.

Whoa! Can you imagine not having Rob-Patz not play9ing the role of Edward Cullen in Twilight Saga? That would have been….something!
