Unknown man rapes British woman in Goa

A tourist from Britain has been raped by an unidentified man in Goa. She is 48 and was walking towards a beach today morning when the incident occurred.

An agency report says that the woman was first robbed of her belongings before being raped.

"The woman complained to the police that while she was walking from the Canacona railway station towards the beach, an unidentified person forcibly took her to a roadside where he raped her," a cop has been quoted as saying by a news agency.

As per police account, the rapist pushed her onto a paddy field and hit her in the eyes to affect her vision. The victim has been a regular visitor to Goa for many years now.
