Multi talented GV Prakash Kumar who has entered the film industry as the ace composer AR Rahman's nephew but soon made his own mark with compositions in Tamil and Telugu, also produced a film 'Madha Yaani Kootam' recently. Now he is turning an actor with 'Pencil' with debutant director Mani Nagaraj, a disciple of Gautham Menon. The actor is playing the lead role and will be seen as a twelfth class student in the film.
Priya Anand who sizzled in several Suthern films and also made an impressive debut with 'English Vinglish' in Bollywood, is playing the female lead in the film. Touted to be a romantic thriller, this film will go on to the sets from November. GV is also composing the music for the film. There was a Muruga Doss production that was supposed to take off earlier which was to be GV's debut film. But the film was delayed and the young lad has grabbed this project as it came by.
