''Boss'' will repeat success of the combination - Nagarjuna

    Monday, September 25, 2006
Directed by VN Aditya and produced by D Sivaprasad Reddy on Kamakshi Movies banner with Nagarjuna, Nayanatra and Poonam Bajwa in the lead, had completed the censor formalities and is ready for release on September 27. Already the audio of the film has started making a big sound and could be heard everywhere and at every nook and corner. With the tremendous success of the audio, the expectations on the films have also went up among the audiences as well as in the industry. On the occasion of the film''''s release, Indiaglitz had a tete-a-tete with Nagarjuna. Here are the excerpts:

Sir, your film 'Boss I love' is all set for release. What is your opinion on the film?

Boss had achieved a clean 'U' certificate from the Censor Board, besides it has already achieved the hit talk with the success of the audio. Now it is for the audiences to give their verdict. It is a good family subject, with entertainment in its backdrop. We are very confident that it will be a definite super hit film.

What is the prime concept behind 'Boss I Love You'?

The primary concept behind the film is entertainment. Especially, a person who faces lots of tensions and embarrassment should relax while watching the film. It gives him a strong feel that the money he had spent on the film ticket is very less when compared to the two and a half hour entertainment. This was the basic concept with which Sivaprasad Reddy produced 'Boss I Love You' under the direction of VN Aditya.

Which will be a highlight in the film in your opinion?

It is the story. When Aditya narrated the story, I just thought that it was the subject which I planned to do and immediately gave my nod. Besides the story, the way of narration by director Aditya and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh will stand as an asset. We re-shot certain scenes following the editor's advice. Another person to mention here is cinematographer Siva. He used perfect angles and used good lighting techniques and we ourselves surprised at the way he presented us on the screen. At the same time, Kalyani Malik, brother of MM Keeravani gave a soulful music.

Who will say 'Boss I Love You' in this film?

If I reveal it, there will be nothing to watch in the film and there is no point in making the film. As the title suggests, the secretaries will say 'I Love You' to their 'Boss'. But, you have to wait and watch till September 27, to know who among them said that.

How will be the 'Boss' in this film?

Yes. Our film 'Boss I Love You' reveals how a boss should be in the real life. It is a family entertainer, coupled with romance. Every girl will dream that she should have one such boy friend in their life. This Boss will be strict in office matters, but moves friendly and lovely with the staff in other issues.

Who will do romance in this film?

Certainly not me, but it is the heroines who do the romance. Most of the romantic scenes will be between heroines only. Really Nayantra and Poonam Bajwa gave the best of their performances in this film.

Did anybody say 'Nagarjuna I Love You' in your real life?

Of course, there are many such instances. But they can't be revealed now. It is all flashback. They remain only as sweet memories and can't be revealed again.

Did any of the heroines say 'I Love You' to you?

Yes, why not. In every film, my heroine used to say 'I Love You' to me. Isn't it?

Are there any girls who disturbed you several times over phone?

Yes. There are a number of such girls. They used to call me time and again. When they say 'I Love You' for the first time, I say 'Thanks'. When they repeat it for the second time, I say 'Okay'. If it is for the third time, I will disconnect the phone.

What Sir. The present generation girls call you as 'Greek Veerudu' and 'Dream Boy'. It is quite unjustified to refuse them. Isn't it?

Let the teenage girls understand one thing. I am far away from teenage.

You just can't say that. Your physique and personality should say that.

You see, I am a film artiste. Our lives are dependent on the screen presence as an artiste. I have no option but maintain my physique and tone up by body. I am doing the same and nothing more than that. If we don't look glamorous, no one will bother us. I have no plans to contest in a beauty pageant.

Did you call anybody 'Boss' in your real life?

As far as my knowledge goes, I did not call anyone as 'Boss'. Everyone will have a name and I call them by name only.

OK. At least your friend and producer Sivaprasad Reddy called you 'Boss' at any time?

No. He always calls me as Babu only. As you rightly said, he is my best friend and also a good producer.

Tell us about your friend Sivaprasad Reddy?

Sivaprasad Reddy also entered the film industry along with me. From then onwards we are continuing our journey as god friends. He produced several good films and created an atmosphere among my fans and also in the industry that our combination is a hit pair. Almost all the films in our combination were successful. Moreover, our director VN Aditya joined our combination for 'Nenunnanu' and the film proved a commercial hit. Now, that successful combination of our three is repeating again for 'Boss'.

What is the main reason for giving an opportunity to VN Aditya again to direct your film?

Nothing special. He is a very sensitive person. All the stories he does are also quite sensitive. That is why I liked him very much. After doing 'Nenunnanu', he narrated the storyline, while I was in the shooting of 'Super'. I liked the storyline and asked him to develop it. We thought of doing it immediately. VN Aditya is an expert in narrating the story. He is great.

Tell us about the music in this film.

Music is the highlight in running the story. Already the tunes given by Kalyani Malik, brother of MM Keeravani have become very popular and audio has become a super hit. In fact, it raised the expectations on the success of the film abnormally. We are sure that we will reach the expectations of the audiences after the release of the film.

After doing 'Sri Ramadasu', immediately you accepted 'Boss'? How did you mould yourself in 'Boss' character so easily?

Basically, we are artistes. We should know what the character is and live in it. According to my father, an artiste should 'step into the shoes' (Parakaya Pravesam) of the character. I have no qualms to do 'Sri Ramadasu' immediately after 'Boss'. It is our responsibility. I don't think it is a big burden. It is the audiences, who should be complimented and thanked in this regard, for accepting us in whatever role we play.

Your fans had lots of expectations on this film? What are your remarks?

Which film they did not keep expectations? But our primary responsibility is to reach their expectations. Moreover, the expectations will go high when a hit combination repeats. We are 200 per cent confident that their expectations on this film will not go wrong.
