The coming months are going to be exciting for Tollywood. If during the Sankranthi of 2017 it's going to be a clash of two titans (read Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna), in August, at least two stars are going to slug it out. They are possibly not NTR and Ram Charan because the latter's Surendar Reddy film is not going to hit the marquee in August, for all we know.

On the other hand, Janata Garage is seemingly bracing up to hit the marquee on August 12, as it was planned originally. Koratala Siva and team are on dot, completing their schedules as planned. The shoot is moving at a brisk pace. Just as everybody thought Young Tiger will be a solo BO scorcher this August, in comes the news that Naga Chaitanya will join the race. What makes all this even more exciting is the fact that the Nandamuri and Akkineni heroes are going to lock horns on the same day: Aug 12. Yes, Chandu Mondeti's Premam is going to hit the screens on that date.

To the audience's delight, Janata Garage and Premam belong to two different genres. While the former will surely have a gargantuan release, thanks to it being an NTR film and a mass masala potboiler, the latter is likely to make do with a smaller release, at least relatively.

Remember that NTR locked horns with Nagarjuna this Sankranthi. While Nannaku Prematho got a stupendous release in about 1750 screens, Soggade Chinni Nayana had to made do with 400 theatres. Something similar might happen again.

All in all, it's going to be Nandamuri vs Akkineni.
