August is the only month in the calendar that can also be used as an adjective.

And as far as Telugu films go, August month is indeed going to be just that.

The trade is pretty gung-ho on a slew of releases planned for the month.

Of course, the biggest of them will be Mahesh Babu-Trisha Athadu. This long-delayed film will be released in the first week of the month itself.

After its release, the sluice gates really open with three films ---- all of which can give Athadu a run for its money ----will be in the race.

They are E V V Satyanarayana's Nuvvante Nakishtam, Andhrudu starring Gopichand and AM Rathnam's Muddula Koduku.

Of the three, the last named is a bilingual film and is considered a dark horse in the race.

Andhrudu is expected to be on typical lines --- a mass action film. Produced by AL Chowdary, the film has been in the making for long. Gowri Pandit is the heroine.

EVV's film is a romantic triangular subject with Allari Naresh and Aryan Rajesh with Anu Mehta play out the love drama.

Of course, there will be other releases to challenge these. But the wise man's money is on these.
