Uday Kiran did not have much luck in the last few years.

He has every reason to believe that he was hard done by fate.

His proposed marriage came unstuck and then his films began to fail.

So Avunanna Kadhanna was his last desperate stand.

Uday Kiran understands the importance of that film for his film career, and if the film fails Uday may even have to vacate Tollywood (one rumor had it that he was planning a restaurant in London).

Any way, Uday says he has given his best shot for Avunanna Kadhanna. And like most Andhrwallahs in a typical show of religious fervor, Uday has gone and offered tonsured his head at Tirupathi. It is a votive offering with the avowed purpose of making his film a hit.

Uday now looks like a Yule Bryner understudy. But he is cheerful that the film, releasing on April 6th, will be a hit.

The film's music is already a hit. RP Patnaik, Teja's favorite, has strummed out typical numbers.

Now the question is will lock-less Uday become lucky.
