It was huge hit in Malayalam. An exciting storyline, Mamootty in a double role along with the beautiful Katrina Kaif  what else can one ask for? 'Balaram versus Tara Das' was the flick that had it all.
The film is now being dubbed into Telugu by N Lakshmana Swamy under the Sri Sai Vijaya Ganapati Creations banner. The film will be called Monica and the Don in Telugu.
Katrina Kaif will be playing Monica Reddy and Mamootty plays Balaram, a police officer and a don called Tara Das. I V Sasi had directed the film which is based on the true story of a film actress.
Katrina is the reel-life actress who falls in love with Tara Das. Her life changes forever after that and the film follows her troubles and efforts for survival.
