Reacting to Naga Babu's public comments against him at the special 'Khaidi No. 150' event, Yandamuri Veerendranath, the renowned novelist, has said that he doesn't understand why the Mega brother made such statements. "When Kodandarami Reddy garu called me up to tell me about Naga Babu's comments, I asked him if he was actually referring to Chiranjeevi's brother. I don't understand why he talked like that. Only recently, he said to me 'Guruvu garu', asking me to give a story."

Yandamuri said that Naga Babu had been close to him. "Some Amygdala personality-types are plain-hearted. They just say what they feel. May be, he is of that type. Many years ago, I commented that politics don't suit Chiranjeevi. Speaking at a personality development session, I compared Devi Sri Prasad and Ram Charan, both of whose fathers I know well. My intention was only to emphasize about how our DSP has come up in life. It was not my intention to belittle Charan," the novelist clarified.

He further said that Naga Babu is a 'chinna pillodu'. "May be, he was excited looking at the public. We may even work together for a film in future," Yandamuri said.
