തമിഴകത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രിയതാരം അജിത് കുമാറിൻ്റെ പിതാവ് പി.സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന്‍ അന്തരിച്ചു. 84 വയസ്സായിരുന്നു വാർധക്യ സംബന്ധമായ അസുഖങ്ങളെ തുടർന്ന് ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. സിനിമാ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരും അജിത്തിൻ്റെ ആരാധകരുമടക്കം ഒട്ടേറെ പേര്‍ പി. സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യത്തിന് ആദരാഞ്ജലി അര്‍പ്പിച്ചു. സംസ്കാരം വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ പത്തിന് ചെന്നൈ ബസന്ത് നഗറിലെ ശ്മശാനത്തില്‍ നടക്കും. പാലക്കാട് സ്വദേശിയാണ് പി. സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന്‍. ഭാര്യ മോഹിനി. അനൂപ് കുമാര്‍, അനില്‍കുമാര്‍ എന്നിവരാണ് മറ്റുമക്കള്‍, മരുമകൾ ശാലിനി.
