Pawan Kalyan says 10% EVMs are not working

Pawan Kalyan has said that 10 percent of EVMs are dysfunctional in the State of Andhra Pradesh.  The Jana Sena chief made the claim on the basis of reports of several EVMs throwing up technical glitches.  Earlier in the day, Chandrababu Naidu had said that 30 percent of EVMs are not functioning.  He demanded that repolling should be held.

Madhusudan Gupta, the Jana Sena candidate from Guntakal Assembly constituency in Anantapur, was on Thursday morning arrested after he reportedly broke an EVM machine in a fit of rage.

"This system is bogus.  It's not even worth voting in such circumstances.  Nothing is wrong in me breaking the EVM.  This is an unjust election," the offender has been quoted as saying.
