Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has demanded that the Election Commission should conduct repolling in the State. As per the TDP supremo, at least 30 percent of EVMs are not working across the State. He has urged the EC to look into the matter.

The demand is big. It's not clear how Naidu arrived at the 30 percent figure. If those many EVMs are reporting technical glitches, it would have resulted in chaos. In some places like Kurnool, voting started very late (at 9:30 am) due to non-functioning EVMs in several booths.

Perception wise, Naidu may have conveyed to the masses that he is jittery about the election results. Most pre-poll surveys have said that YCP will sweep the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
