Following the thunderous response to George Miller's post-apocalyptic visual feast 'Mad Max: Fury Road', the 'visionary' director has revealed that the follow-up will be titled 'Mad Max: The Wasteland'.

Miller explaining how he ended up crafting his complete timeline of events surrounding 'Mad' Max said, "We`ve got one screenplay and a novella. It happened because with the delays [on Fury Road], and writing all the backstories, they just expanded.'

It must be noted that 'The Wasteland' in the title is an interesting addition since it is the name of the world where all the 'Mad Max' films have so far taken place. However, what 'The Wasteland' in the plot is being referred to remains to be seen.

'Mad Max: Fury Road' is currently playing in theaters successfully worldwide.
